An epic musical collaboration is on the way from Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande, and Jessie J! ‘Bang Bang’ will drop on July 29.
In a collaboration we never knew we needed until it became a reality, Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande, and Jessie J are working on a joint single called “Bang Bang” which will be released on July 29 via Republic Records. Details below!
Ariana Grande: ‘Bang Bang’ Single To Be Released With Nicki Minaj And Jessie J
The single will be a “powerhouse anthem” according to Republic’s press release, and “Bang Bang” will be Jessie J’s lead single off of her upcoming album Alive, due out in the fall. Interestingly, the single will also appear on Ariana’s upcoming sophomore album, My Everything.
Max Martin, Savan Kotecha and Ilya will be producing the sure-to-be-a-smash hit — they also produced Ariana and Iggy Azalea‘s “Problem,” which totally blew up the charts, making it the fastest-selling iTunes single in history upon its release on April 28.
Nicki Minaj Was Crowned Best Female Hip Hop Artist For The Fifth Year In A Row
This news comes on the heels of the BET Awards which, on June 29, crowned Queen Nicki with her fifth straight win for Best Female Hip Hop Artist. Since we all know that it’s Nicki’s verse that everyone skips to wherever she features, it will be interesting to see if the rest of the song will live up to the hype!
Considering their very different musical backgrounds, the song could be the best thing that the summer of 2014 will see, or, it might be an non-complementary disaster. Either way, we can’t wait!
