Jennifer Lopez At KTUphoria — Get Her Stunning Highlights
Kyle tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively:
“J.Lo’s new highlights look great on her and honestly I don’t think there are many looks that J.Lo couldn’t make look great. The bold, pale, bright highlights play up her famous J.Lo glow and the contrast of the dark rich base color really shows off the layers and movement in her style. This color is red carpet ready and summer is the perfect time for dramatic chunks like hers.”
If you’re loving J.Lo’s color and want to get the look for yourself, here’s what to ask for:
“The trick to getting this color right is doing fatter highlights and less of them, with lots of contrast between the highlights and the base color. The thickest and brightest pieces should be around the frame of her face, and then they should regress out toward the crown. The base is a rich deep brunette, which gives the dramatic pop to the bright chunky highlights which are generously spaced apart.”
And if you’re looking to go maintenance this summer, this may be a great look for you to copy!
“Because of the distance between the highlights and the base color, you get maximum impact with minimum maintenance. Also, the sporadic placement prevents you from getting a heavy band of dark roots as it grows out. If you’re not covering grey roots with the base color, then you can probably go eight to twelve weeks between highlights.”
Advice From A Top Stylist
We asked Luca about J.Lo’s new haircut:
“There’s not much difference, but there are more layers on top. I do know that she wears her hair up A LOT. Her type of hair is easy for summer. When people go to their hairstylist wanting that look, they should ask for a cut below the clavicle, with quite a bit of long layers.”
So, HollywoodLifers, are you ready to try J.Lo’s blonde highlights?
