Shocking new details have led police to question Leanna Harris, the mother of Cooper, the Georgia toddler who was left to die in the blistering heat of his father’s car for 7 hours.
Leanna Harris, 30, has been brought in for questioning in regards to death of her son, Cooper Harris, 22 months old, according to a new report. New information from the Cobb County Police Department reveals that the mother of one may have also been searching online about the dangers of leaving a child in a hot car for too long. Her husband, Justin Ross Harris, 33, has been charged with murder and is being held without bond in Atlanta, Georgia.
Leanna Harris Questioned In The Death Of Her Son, Cooper, 22 Months
The tragic story of little Cooper’s death seems to be getting even more troubling.
Could his mother, Leanna, also have been involved in his untimely death?
A new search warrant affidavit reveals that Leanna was also questioned by Cobb County Police in the death of her 22-month-old son, and during her interview she made a shocking confession, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
“Leanna Harris, the child’s mother, was also questioned regarding the incident and made similar statements regarding researching in car deaths and how it occurs,” the affidavit states.
It should be noted that Leanna has not been identified as a suspect by the CCPD, nor has she been charged in the death of her son. However, her husband Justin’s internet search history revealed that he too had searched for how long it takes an animal to die after being left in a hot car.

One thing is for sure in this case: Leanna is standing by her husband’s side during this difficult time.
At Cooper’s heartbreaking funeral on Saturday, June 28, she shared that she supported her husband and was not holding their son’s death against him.
“Am I angry with Ross? Absolutely not. It never ever has crossed my mind. Ross is and always will be, if we have more children, a wonderful daddy, a wonderful leader for our children. Ross I love you, I am doing this for you okay,” she told over 250 funeral guests.
