A pic of ‘Game Of Thrones’ star Peter Dinklage posing with Grumpy Cat is currently making its rounds around the internet — but is it real?
The internet at large is currently in meltdown mode after a pic has surfaced of Game Of Thrones actor Peter Dinklage posing with Grumpy Cat, the most famous of internet cats. However, could this interaction of two of the internet’s most favorite things be a fake?
Peter Dinklage’s Grumpy Cat Selfie Is A Fake — Sorry, Internet
Yep. Yeah, it’s a fake. Sorry about it. It turns out that the internet lies sometimes. Who knew?
Here’s the original, taken by Peter himself on the lucky Will Oliver‘s cell phone from WeAllWantSomeone.org:
Unfortunately, no Grumpy Cat was present at the NYC premiere of X-Men: Days Of Future Past when this was taken back in May, despite Peter’s clearly stellar impression.
For those of you just dying to see an actor posing with Grumpy Cat along with their most grumpiest of faces, allow me to present Tyler Hoechlin of Teen Wolf fame posing with the internet’s most exhausted cat at the MTV Movie Awards on April 15:
This magical moment was made possible, in part, by ex co-star Colton Haynes, who posted the following on Instagram all the way back in Oct. 2012 and has been rallying for Grumpy Cat to interact with Derek Hale ever since:
Colton — and the internet — waited patiently for a year-and-a-half for their moment. Now, Peter, that the internet is in a frenzy over your fake Grumpy Cat selfie, the onus is on you to make it happen. Look at how happy you’ve inadvertently made so many people! We don’t ask for much; just selfies with famous internet cats every now and then.
Peter Dinklage: Real Men Take Selfies With Grumpy Cat; See: Tyler Hoechlin
Real men take selfies with Grumpy Cat, Peter, and we all know that your fans could use some joy after the devastating Season 4 finale of Game Of Thrones, and the even more devastating wait until Season 5. We need this.
HollywoodLifers, do you agree that Peter needs to take a selfie with Grumpy Cat for real? Or should we stick to Photoshopping that cat everywhere, because wow, Tarder Sauce (Grumpy Cat’s real name, not a joke) must be exhausted by this point? Let us know!
