Oh dear — one of our walker-killing favorites is about to perish. Season 5 of ‘The Walking Dead’ will premiere in October — and there’s going to be a VERY shocking death in the first episode. Warning: Do NOT read on if you don’t want spoilers!
At the end of the last season of The Walking Dead, all of our faves were stuck together in a rail car in Terminus — also known as the town of maybe-cannibals. While Rick Grimes and the gang work their way out of this VERY bad situation they all find themselves in, one major character dies, according to the show’s creator and executive producer Robert Kirkman.
Who Dies In ‘Walking Dead’ Season 5 Premiere? Spoilers From Series Creator!
Robert opened up about Season 5 to Entertainment Weekly Radio — and what he revealed has our jaw dropped. Again: Do NOT keep reading if you don’t want to know what will happen next season!
“In our premiere episode of season 5 we’re going to give a ton of answers of who the people of Terminus are, what they’re doing, why they’re doing it, what’s going on with them,” Robert explained to the radio show. OK — great! We can’t wait to know more about Terminus.
“Oh, and Daryl dies,” he stated. Nooooooooo, not Daryl Dixon! We can’t believe everyone’s favorite redneck with a heart of gold will die on the show. Norman Reedus plays the role so perfectly — we look forward to seeing him (and his muscles) every week! We truly cannot believe this — can you?
‘Walking Dead’ Creator: The Show Is Nowhere Near Over
Despite the fact that Daryl’s death will leave a hole in our hearts forever, Robert has no plans to end the show anytime soon.
“I’m still doing the comic,” he opened up to EW radio. “And plan in doing it for many, many years. And right now the issues that we are doing as we speak is material that could be adapted into a season 10, 11, or 12 depending on how we adapt things. And we’re not stopping. So five years for now we’ll be doing comics that could be for season 15. Now, it’s unrealistic to think it can go for that long, but if the show remains successful, the potential is there for that…. All that said, I’m just hoping and praying we make it to season 7.”
We know what we’re doing tonight — mourning Daryl Dixon. What do YOU think about Daryl being killed off TWD, HollywoodLifers? Let us know!
