It’s come down to this. After a heartbreaking tie on June 22, the United States Men’s National Team will be facing off against the staunch German squad with a spot in the Round of 16 on the line. This might be the biggest battle for the U.S. since troops stormed Normandy in 1944 — so find out exactly when the festivities kick off.
I believe… that this is the biggest day in United States soccer history. At least it feels like it. The USMNT has to make one more stand in the Group of Death on June 26 — this time against the second-ranked Germany — to make it through to the World Cup’s Round of 16. Ninety minutes to glory — and it all starts at…
What Time Is USA Vs. Germany?
12 p.m. ET on ESPN. Got that? Good, because you’re not gonna want to miss a second of this game.
With a win or a tie against Germany, the United States will officially clinch a spot in the knockout round — a seriously admirable feat considering that they drew the hardest group in the World Cup by far. But the USMNT’s hopes won’t even be entirely dashed by a loss today. If Portugal and Ghana tie their game on June 26, the United States and Germany will advance no matter what the outcome of their game is. Additionally, the U.S. might still get out of Group G if they lose and Ghana or Portugal win by virtue of the goal differential tiebreaker, though it’ll be close.
The boys in red, white and blue definitely have their work cut out for them — Germany is the second-ranked country in the World Cup, and they’ve already proven their worth by crushing Portugal 4-0 in their first game of the tournament. A good result is going to take all hands on deck.
The drama and excitement have never been higher for a United States soccer game. So join in on the fun — tune into ESPN at 12 p.m. ET and witness history!
