Ellie, (and her totally toned stomach!), has found herself on the cover of ‘Self’ magazine…and she looks fabulous!
Ellie Goulding, 27, is the cover girl of Self magazine’s July issue and we are floored at how toned and fit the British crooner looks! Not only does Ellie look amazing, (flaunting her unbelievably toned tummy on the cover), but she had a ton of insight and dished about her personal life. From staying fit to being confident, see what else she had to say.
Ellie Goulding’s ‘Self’ Magazine Cover:
It must be the hardest transition to go from not being famous to being a singing sensation with tons of fame. Ellie dished to the mag about just how hard it was for her. “I was torn between that really simple life and this life of madness. My brain was getting all these crazy signals, and I’d have these faux heart attacks that felt real. There was so much adrenaline being pumped into my body that, in any normal situation, I felt as if I had to fight or flee. On my way to the studio, I’d have to cover my face in the car with a pillow. I couldn’t shop, couldn’t go outside, couldn’t see people, because there were just so many triggers. And I didn’t want to tell anyone, because I just felt so stupid. I never wanted people to see me as weak.”
Ellie Goulding’s Love Life:
When asked if Ellie was seeing anyone, she was quite honest. “I’ve definitely met someone. You get to know someone who makes you very happy and then you go away on tour, right when it was just getting somewhere awesome. It’s not fun, but we can make it work. Love is beyond everything, beyond the universe.” That’s so beautiful!
Ellie admits that she first used her musical talents to get guys hooked! “I started playing guitar to impress a guy, but all of a sudden I was more engrossed in the guitar than the guy, and playing it became my everything. It was a big deal, because I started singing my own songs,” she said.
Ellie Goulding’s Diet & Staying Fit:
Just how does Ellie look so amazing and healthy? She admitted that she didn’t always eat the right food but changing her diet has helped in a variety of ways. “My mom was raising four kids on her own, so we ate whatever we wanted: cheap food, sugary cereal and such. Since I’ve stopped eating meat, I see everything a lot clearer. And this sounds really deep now, so forgive me, but I feel more compassion and more empathy. What I eat affects my personality, the way I treat other people, the way I see everything. Being a vegetarian has made me want to be kind in a way that I’ve never felt before.”
