Survivor fans were shocked on June 24 when it was learned that Caleb Bankston, a favorite from Survivor: Blood vs. Water, passed away in a train accident in Birmingham, Alabama. His fellow Survivors and his many fans took to Twitter to express their grief and condolences for Caleb and his family, including Colton Cumbie, the fiancé he left behind.

Caleb, a railway worker, passed away after the train he was working on at the Alabama Warrior Railway derailed, according to People. At just 26 years old, his death is a shock and a true tragedy, and the outpouring of support on Twitter has been enormous:

Caleb Bankston And Colton Cumbie Were Set To Marry In October
While Caleb finished in 9th place on Survivor: Blood vs. Water, he definitely left an impression on viewers. He was set to marry Colton this October, and MailOnline alleges that Colton tweeted “I just wish it was me….” from his protected Twitter account. So sad.
