Sun, June 22, 2014 6:17pm EDT by 3 Comments

‘True Blood’s’ final season premiere airs June 22. It’s our last rendezvous in Bon Temps, so here’s five things to look forward to in the show’s final season.

Prepare yourself to say goodbye to Bon Temps for good. True Blood’s seventh and final season premieres June 22. Sookie (Anna Paquin), Bill (Stephen Moyer), Alcide (Joe Manganiello), Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) and Jason (Ryan Kwanten) are back for one last round of vampire, werewolf and fairy fun. Get ready because True Blood is going to stay true to the end!

‘True Blood’ Season Premiere Preview: 5 Things To Know

1. A major death happens in the season premiere.

Start forming your support group now because a MAJOR character bites the dust in the season opener, according to Zap2it. And if that wasn’t scary enough — it happens in the first three minutes! (Breathe. Just breathe.)

2. Alexander Skarsgard will be back!

Our favorite tall vampire Eric was last seen frying to death in the season six finale of True Blood. With that basically meaning the true death, will Eric somehow reappear?

Fret not, Eric lovers, because Alexander will be featured in the show’s final season. Praise!

3. Sookie isn’t with Bill or Eric in the season opener.

Unbelievable, right? Sookie has tossed vampires Bill and Eric aside in the beginning of season seven for werewolf Alcide, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Not that she could ever choose a NOT hot guy on the show, but we all know she will end up with at least Bill or Eric.

4. There’s a hot newcomer.

James, formerly played by Luke Grimes, has been replaced by Nathan Parsons. For all you Originals fans out there, Nathan is going to look very familiar.

On this supernatural show, Nathan will play a vampire! He takes over the role of James, who is Jessica’s current boyfriend. (Calm yourselves, Jessica and Jason shippers.)

5. Sookie could become a vampire by series end.

One of the final promotional posters released for the final season showed Sookie with a blood tear running down her cheek. For the True Blood fanatics out there, those specific tears are featured in vampires. With all the danger constantly surrounding Sookie, could she finally have to die only to be reborn as a vampire? Time will tell!

True Blood‘s final season premieres June 22 at 9 p.m. ET on HBO. Check out our full recap right after the show ends tonight!

HollywoodLifers, are you excited for the True Blood premiere? What do you want to happen over the course of the final season? Will Sookie become a vampire and will she end up with Bill or Eric? Sound off on your thoughts!
