Less than two weeks after being in a terrible car accident, Tracy Morgan was transferred from a New Jersey hospital to a rehabilitation center. The comedian has a long way to go on the road to recovery, but it’s great he’s doing better!
Tracy Morgan, 45, was transferred to a rehab center on June 20, where he will continue to recover from a long list of injuries. The star is lucky to be alive following the limo accident on June 7, that left him in critical condition. Sadly, Tracy’s friend and fellow comedian James McNair was killed in the crash.
Tracy Morgan Moved To Rehab Center
Nearly two weeks after the six-vehicle accident, Tracy Morgan’s health continues to improve. The 30 Rock star left a New Jersey hospital for a rehab center on June 20, where he will spend the next few weeks recovering from a his extensive injuries. Tracy suffered a broken leg, a broken nose and several broken ribs.
The actor’s publicist Lewis Kay is optimistic though. “While he is continuing to show signs of improvement, he still has a long way to go,” he told the press. “He and Megan [Wollovern] wanted to publicly express their deepest gratitude to everyone at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for the unbelievable care and attention they provided him.”
Truck Driver Kevin Roper Pleads Not Guilty
As for the Walmart truck driver accused of causing the crash, Kevin Roper, he has been charged with vehicular homicide. Kevin has pleaded not guilty and is free on bail, although he reportedly had been awake for 24 hours prior to the accident and was going 65 mph at the time of the crash — 20 mph hour over the speed limit.
“We remain mindful of the victims and continue to express our deepest sympathies to the family of James McNair and our heartfelt wishes for a full recovery of those who suffered injuries in the accident,” Kevin’s lawyer, David Jay Glassman, said in a statement.
