Jill Duggar and fiance Derick Dillard’s wedding gift registry is anything but average. Believe it or not, the newly engaged couple and stars of TLC’s ’19 Kids & Counting’ are actually asking guests to buy them firearms and Fruit Loops as wedding presents!
Jill Duggar, 22, and Derick Dillard, 25, are ready to start building their new life together, and they want their friends and families to help by checking off items on their Walmart wedding gift registry — which includes both a shotgun AND a rifle, as well as a variety of cereals. These two will certainly have their hands — and mouths — full after they tie the knot on June 21!
Jill Duggar & Derick Dillard Gift Registry: Shotgun, Rifle & Cereals For Wedding
Jill and Derick plan to take full advantage of their Second Amendment rights as they take the plunge into married life.
The 19 Kids & Counting couple, who announced their engagement in April after courting for one year, have added some highly unusual items to their wedding gift registry, including the Maverick Model 88 Pump Shotgun pictured above, and a Smith & Wesson 811030 MP1522 Rifle. Who knew you could even buy guns as gifts?!
The quirky couple also registered for a variety of cereals, including Kellogg’s Fruit Loops and Raisin Bran Crunch, and Hershey’s Cookies and Creme. Seems pretty random to us, but hey, to each their own!
Jill & Derick Planning A Summer Wedding
Jill and Derick can’t wait to get married this month, and it’s no wonder why! The pair spent the first three months of their old-fashioned romance communicating soley through Skype. And when they finally did get to meet in person, they had to follow the strict rules of Jill’s parents, Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar, who are devout fundamentalist Christians.
Now that they’re engaged, Jill and Derick are allowed to hold hands. They’ll have their first kiss on their wedding day.
“I think it’ll probably be a Duggar-sized wedding with lots of friends and lots of family, and everything centered on God,” Jill told People magazine. “We’re looking forward to it!”
Tell us, HollywoodLifers — do YOU think it’s odd that Jill and Derick registered for firearms? Let us know!
