OK Go Show Optical Illusions In New ‘Writing’s On The Wall’ Video

OK Go has done it again! The oh-so original band released a new music video for their song ‘The Writing’s On The Wall’ on June 17 — and it’s one of their quirkiest videos yet! As you watch the stunning video, you realize that nothing is what it seems. Watch it right here, right now!

OK Go has a serious reputation for creating amazing, off-the-wall music videos that make you ask yourself, “What did I just watch?” The group went viral — before “viral” was even a major trend — when they released their treadmill dancing “Here It Goes Again” video in 2006. It’s still one of the most talked about music videos ever. It’s official: OK Go has done it again and wowed us with yet another masterpiece!

OK Go’s ‘Writing’s On The Wall’ Video: Group’s Amazing Optical Illusions

Your brain doesn’t exactly know what is happening during this video, but you can’t stop watching! By using props like lights and mirrors, interesting video angles and a whole lot of paint, OK Go’s new video is 4 minutes and 17 seconds of pure surprises. We can’t count how many times we had to go back and TRY and figure out how they pulled off some of these epic stunts!

The video, which looks like it was shot in a warehouse, continuously flows and changes so that you can’t guess — or see — what could possibly be coming next. At one point, the camera is even positioned upside down while someone seemingly rides a bike through the air. Until the last moment when the director yells “cut,” everything is not what it looks to be at first.

The video for “The Writing’s On The Wall” is a song off the group’s album Hungry Ghosts, which will be released on October 14. We absolutely love this video! It’s rare to watch something and then want to watch it again (and again, and again) — and this video does just that! It’s exciting, fast paced and timed to perfection.
