As a guru for ‘The Bachelor,’ while watching ‘The Bachelorette,’ I’m always thinking about who’s next — and I’ve got a full list of why Marquel is the perfect candidate!
Spoiler alert: If you missed the June 16th episode of The Bachelorette, do not keep reading!
‘Bachelorette’: Marquel Should Be The Next ‘Bachelor’
When Andi Dorfman sent home Marquel Martin, 26, on the latest episode of The Bachelorette, part of me was happy. They weren’t a great match, and it’s clear that she has way more chemistry with others there like Josh Murray, than him. So it’s good she didn’t string him along. However, I was really happy because that means he’s now in the running to be the next Bachelor.
Not only did he bring cookies on the first night — the obvious way to any woman’s heart — but he clearly had the best sense of style as well as the maturity that very few have. It was almost as if he went on the show to actually find love.
When he was sent home before others that I’m shocked are still there (sorry Cody, but what?!), he was beyond sweet to Andi, and wished her all the best. It was clear he was hurting but he didn’t cause a scene. He walked to the car and began crying a little saying that he realizes it wasn’t “in God’s plan” for him to be with Andi, but now he will be on the road to find love.
Marquel’s A Stand Up Man
That road should start with next season of The Bachelor. Any woman would be so lucky to have him. Not to mention that he’s the least dramatic person. Even though there was opportunity for him to absolutely freak out on Andrew over something JJ thought he heard him say, he just asked him about it, said how he felt, and moved on.
I’m pretty sure that was the most civil confrontation ever and honestly, no one would have blamed him if he wanted to full on yell. But he kept himself composed.
All and all, Marquel just seems like a guy that’s full of love and while he wasn’t a match for Andi, he would be a great catch. Do you agree, HollywoodLifers? Should Marquel be the next Bachelor? If not, who? Let us know your thoughts!
