Could one of soccer’s best players not hit the field for the World Cup? Cristiano Ronaldo raises injury fears after limping off the Portugal practice field on June 13.
Oh no! After walking off the Portugal practice field liming on June 13, soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo may not be hitting the field for Portugal’s first World Cup game on June 16. So what happened to Cristiano?
Cristiano Ronaldo: Is He Too Hurt To Compete In The World Cup?
One of Portugal’s best (and hottest) soccer stars may be taking it easy leading up to Portugal’s first World Cup game on June 16. During a practice session on June 13, Cristiano left the field limping with an ice pack over his knee, FOX Sports reported.
Instead of practicing with the whole team for full practice, Cristiano stretched and signed autographs for fans. He took a seat on the bench and didn’t take part in the rest of the practice.
The injury isn’t a surprise to Cristiano. The soccer pro has dealt with leg problems before the World Cup started. He was sidelined for two weeks with tendinitis in his knee and a thigh injury.
Let’s hope Cristiano can rest up before Portugal’s big game on June 16. He is so important to the beautiful game of soccer and he deserves a change to win the World Cup. He’s worked so hard and it wouldn’t be fair if he didn’t get to compete!
