Well, isn’t this cute?
Further proving she is just as nurturing and kindhearted as her mother-in-law, Princess Diana, Kate’s maternal side really showed after she unintentionally frightened a little girl on Tuesday, June 10.
Kate was on hand for a breakfast reception at the National Maritime Museum in London, England when she approached a little girl who was holding a bouquet of flowers specifically for the Duchess.
Once she got close enough, the girl quickly became bashful and instead of interacting with Kate she decided to hide by burying her head in her father’s shoulder. Aw!
Kate was not going to leave until she saw that little girl smile though, so she reached over and caressed the girl’s back and spoke softly to her. Eventually, the girl, who was all dolled up in a red-and-white dress, stopped hiding and turned to face Kate. Success!
Once the little girl stopped hiding from her, Kate’s face lit up with joy. It’s obvious that she would love to her own little girl running around one day!
