Jon Snow put himself in a pretty perilous position on the June 8 episode of ‘Game Of Thrones’, ‘The Watchers On The Wall’, and on June 8, Kit Harington said on ‘Kelly & Michael’ that he might be out of a job after the finale!
Kit Harington stopped by Kelly & Michael on June 10 to talk Game Of Thrones and How To Train Your Dragon 2 and let slip that he may be out of a job after the Game Of Thrones finale — is Jon Snow in trouble? Read on!
Jon Snow: Kit Harington Spills That His Character May Die On ‘Game Of Thrones’ Finale?
Jon Snow made a series of pretty spectacularly poor decisions in “The Watchers On The Wall,” the most spectacular of which being his decision to parley with Mance Raydar, the leader of the wildlings — sans Ghost, a sword, and any kind of common sense or sense of self-preservation. Kit put it best when he told Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan that Jon is “in a spot of bother, really, isn’t he?” How adorably British of him.
“His idea is that he’s going to kill [Mance],” Kit said. “It’s not a particularly good plan, really, but I think it’s the only thing he thinks he can do.” After some prodding, Kit refused to reveal Jon’s fate — “I don’t want to tell you what happens because I may be out of a job soon.”
Out of a job because Jon meets a bloody end? Or because HBO will make sure that Kit himself meets a bloody end, should he reveal any secrets about the highly-anticipated finale?
While Jon’s fate — positive or negative — lies in the pages of the Song Of Ice And Fire series and has for years now, there are still many GoT fans who have not read the books. Furthermore, changes are made all the time! You can never really know for sure.
Kit Harrington Is Not Allowed To Cut His Hair — It’s In His Contract
Moving on from the possibly dire ending of Game Of Thrones’ fourth season, Kit talked a little bit about his famous hair, which he is actually not allowed to cut — it’s in his contract! “I didn’t realize this until recently,” Kit said, revealing a little behind-the-scenes of what it is to be an actor; that is, his manager and agent have to have funny conversations like, is Kit allowed to cut it one inch? Three inches?
Then, hilariously, those minutia have to be written down by adults into a contract that another round of adults have to sign. Love it.
