1. Hillary Opens Up About The Focus On Her Hair
In Hard Choices, Hillary writes that when she met Bulgarian Prime Minister Bokyo Borisov, he told her, “Madam Secretary, I was very worried when I saw television footage of you getting off the plane,” as she wrote in her book. “I was briefed by my chief of staff that when your hair is pulled back, it means you’re in a bad mood.” She then “looked at the mostly bald Prime Minister, smiled, and said, ‘It just takes me a little longer to do my hair than it takes you.'” Queen.
2. Hillary Writes About Her Support Of LGBT Rights
“When I look back at my time as Secretary, I’m proud of the work we did to extend the circle of human dignity and human rights to include people historically excluded,” Hillary writes. In particular, she noted that in 2009, she extended the “full range of legally available benefits and allowances to same-sex domestic partners of Foreign Service staff serving abroad.”

3. Hillary Has Yet To Decide Whether She Will Run In 2016
We find it hard to believe that Hillary hasn’t yet decided whether or not she will run for President in 2016, but she writes in Hard Choices that, “Having run for President before, I understand exactly how challenging it is on every front — not only on candidates but on their families as well. After having lost in 2008, I know that nothing is guaranteed, nothing can be taken for granted.”
Is this where we point out that Julia Louis-Dreyfus‘ character in Veep, Selina Meyer, also wrote a book and went on an extensive book tour while running a secret campaign for President? Yes? No? OK.
4. Hillary On “Awkward First Dates”
When Hillary met Barack Obama prior to the 2008 Democratic convention, she writes in Hard Choices that, “We stared at each other like two teenagers on an awkward first date, taking a few sips of Chardonnay. … both Barack and I and our staffs had long lists of grievances. It was time to clear the air.”
5. Hillary Regrets Her Part In The 2003 Iraq War
“I thought I had acted in good faith and made the best decision I could with the information I had,” Hillary writes. “And I wasn’t alone in getting it wrong. But I still got it wrong. Plain and simple.”
