So sad. Cali Swag District rapper JayAre passed away on June 6 at just 25 years old. Upon hearing the news of the young rapper’s death, celebs tweeted their grief over his passing.

Cali Swag District rapper JayAre died on June 6 after falling into cardiac arrest. He also suffered complications from sickle cell anemia. The rapper, best known for his group’s song “Teach Me How To Dougie,” died at only 25 years old. Celebs including DJ King Assassin, Yesi Ortiz and more tweeted their condolences to the young rapper.

JayAre died after being admitted to a hospital on June 5 and falling into cardiac arrest, according to MTV News. He suffered from sickle cell anemia. After his passing, celebs offered their sympathies to JayAre and his friends and family.

A dear friend of JayAre, Smoove Da General, was devastated by JayAre’s death. He also tweeted on June 7: “Rest in peace Jayare I’m gonna miss u forever ..I will never get over this..but I know God got u..and I know You got me.” Our hearts are broken for JayAre’s family and friends. It’s so sad to lose someone so young and full of life.

This is the second Cali Swag District member to die tragically. In 2011, M-Bone was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting.

Our thoughts and prayers are with JayAre’s family and friends during this hard time.
