The singer and Broadway actress turned heads on the red carpet as well as on stage, as she rocked two totally different dresses that were both in a vibrant, turquoise hue. Which look did you like better? VOTE.
Fantasia Barrino, 30, is giving her career as a solo artist a break and taking the stage as a Broadway star in the show After Midnight. Though the group didn’t walk away with the “Best Musical” award at the 2014 Tonys in NYC on June 8 at Radio City Music Hall, Fantasia’s brilliant gown on the red carpet and fun fringed frock on stage earned her a spot on our best dressed list. While we think the actress looked stunning in both styles, which one do you love?
Fantasia Barrino’s Tony Awards Dress:
Fantasia exuded glamour at the awards ceremony as the Broadway star began the evening in a brilliant emerald green gown that hugged her every curve and showed off her assets, thanks to the plunging neckline. Though the dress featured long sleeves and a sweeping, floor-length hemline, she certainly didn’t play it safe — quite the opposite, actually! Her plunging neckline drew more than enough attention to her chest while a slit up her skirt allowed her to show off her legs. A matching sash was tied at her tiniest point, giving her that hourglass shape and ensuring a bodacious silhouette from every angle!
The dress could easily stand alone, so the actress opted for simple jewelry, including subtle earrings and a gold cocktail ring. Fantasia’s hair framed her face nicely and drew attention to her golden, smoky eyes that matched her metallic clutch perfectly!
Fantasia Barrino’s Tony Awards Performance Dress — Fierce In Fringe:
On stage, the singer preformed “On the Sunny Side of the Street” in another green dress, serving up a double dose of cleavage! Sandwiched between Gladys Knight and Patti Labelle, she absolutely glowed in the spotlight. Her second green look was shorter and sassier than the one she wore on the red carpet, but just as gorgeous — the fringe came to life as she moved around.
The look was completed with bold gemstone earrings and a vintage ‘do that looked right out of the 1920s. Her dress shined on stage and we couldn’t take our eyes off her! We think that Fantasia rocked both looks, but what do you think? Do you have a favorite?
