Chris Brown was just released from jail on June 2, but his legal troubles are far from over. He was released ahead of his Washington D.C. assault trial and HollywoodLife.com can EXCLUSIVELY tell you that Chris wants to get the trial over with sooner rather than later.
Chris Brown is a free man…for now. The singer was released after 108 days in jail on June 2. However, he’s due for another date with the courtroom later this month, stemming from a Washington D.C. assault cause in 2013. HollywoodLife.com has learned EXCLUSIVELY that Chris wants the trial to be over with so he can put all his legal battles “past him.”
Chris Brown: Anxious For DC Assault Trial
Chris is out of jail, but another trial for his Washington D.C. assault case remains for Chris to get through. A source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that Chris is anxious to get this “last hurdle” over with so he can move on with his life.
“He’s anxious to be real,” the source revealed. “He knows this is the last hurdle in his legal affairs and wants to put this past him.”
“No sense in waiting and prolonging what ever is going to happen and be stressed. He’d rather get it over with so he can get back to doing what he does best.”
Chris Brown Vows To Stay Sober After Jail
Chris is not looking to head back to the slammer after all his legal affairs are settled. The singer has vowed to stay clean with “prescribed medication daily and do his best not to smoke or even drink,” an insider told HollywoodLife.com.
In addition to a healthy lifestyle, Chris is also getting tremendous support from girlfriend Karrueche Tran. She stuck by him during his jail stint and is helping him acclimate back into society post-jail.
Let’s hope Chris continues to stay on the right path. We want him to get back doing what he does best, which is making music!
