The 30 Rock actor remains in serious condition after a truck driver fell asleep at the wheel at the New Jersey Turnpike in Robbinsville, causing Tracy’s limo bus to overturn. Tracy was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital where he remains in critical condition and is receiving excellent care, according to his reps.
HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY spoken to a source close to Tracy and reveals more about the actor’s condition.
“The family and friends that have been in contact with Tracey and know of his condition feel that he will survive but it will be a long road ahead. It’s a very scary situation and there has been quite a lot of prayers. But his family also want to provide laughter and are doing their best to keep as much of a jovial atmosphere and mood as possible while in the hospital.”
Truck Driver Charged In Tracy Morgan Car Crash
The truck driver who caused the accident has now been charged with one count of death by auto and four counts of assault by auto, according to ABC News. Kevin Roper fell asleep at the wheel and ran into Tracy’s van.
James McNair, a comedy writer and dear friend of Tracy, died from his injuries sustained in the crash. Tracy’s assistant Jeff Millea remains in critical condition and Ardie Fuqua and Harris Stanton were also victims of the crash, ABC News confirms.
