Dave Brockie left family, friends and fans all stunned with his untimely death. What a tragedy!
The frontman was not only a founding member of the band GWAR, but also the mastermind behind the outrageously grotesque costumes, wild stage antics and vulgar lyrics.
The Grammy-nominated singer gained international fame and was known for appearing on stage as an intergalactic humanoid barbarian with devil horns and an unpleasant-looking face. He topped off his wardrobe with fake blood and a long sword called an “Unt Lick.” He put on a quite the show for his die-hard fans!
Dave Is The Second Member Of GWAR To Die Young
Unfortunately, Dave wasn’t the first member of the band to pass away. In 2011, 34-year-old lead guitarist Cory Smoot was found dead on the band’s tour bus. Cory reportedly died due to coronary artery thrombosis, brought on by his pre-existing coronary artery disease. So sad!
We hope these test results can bring some sort of closer to Dave’s family, friends and his long time fans.
