Emmy-award winning actress, Jaime Pressly, is back on TV with her new comedy, ‘Jennifer Falls’. Keep reading for our EXCLUSIVE interview with the hilarious Jaime!
Jaime Pressly returns to television in the brand new TV Land sitcom Jennifer Falls, playing Jennifer Doyle, an executive who is forced to move back in with her mother, after she’s fired from her job. Hollywoodlife.com learned EXCLUSIVELY from Jaime why her character is so relatable.
Jaime Pressly Stars In ‘Jennifer Falls’
Jennifer Falls is TV Land’s latest sitcom starring Jaime Pressly as a type-A business-woman who looses her job, as the head of an investment banking firm.
After loosing her job, the single mother to 16-year-old daughter Gretchen (Dylan Gelula) is broke and has no other choice but to move in with her therapist mother, Maggie (Jessica Walter)!
“She basically has to move back in with her mother, who’s a therapist that doesn’t listen to her, which makes her even crazier,” Jaime EXCLUSIVELY tells Hollywoodlife.com.
Jennifer was always the most successful in her family, but when the over-achiever’s life is turned upside town, she’s forced to ask her bar-owner brother, Wayne (Ethan Suplee), for a job. There’s always a silver lining though — sounds like Jaime may need a stiff drinks!
Jaime Pressly: Jennifer Is ‘Relatable’ For So Many Viewers
When Jennifer goes from earning a six-figure salary to working under her brother pouring libations, she struggles with readjusting to her humble roots.
According to Jaime, her character’s situation is familiar to many people who have lost their jobs, as a result of the economy — and that’s why Jaime loves her relatable character.
“There’s so many people…that have lost their jobs from high positions,” Jaime says, adding that not everybody has “a mom’s house to go home to, or a dad, or a best friend to come in and help, or a brother give them a job.”
So really, Jennifer is lucky that she has people to fall back on, which makes for a heartwarming, and hilarious series.
However, even though Jaime’s character moves back in with her mother during hard times, don’t expect Jaime to do the same!
“God, love my mother, but they live in a very tiny, tiny place! I don’t know that we could,” Jaime told HollywoodLife.com. “They would take us though. She would have us! I love my mother! I just could not imagine because I’m very type-A like Jennifer is.”
Fair enough, Jaime — we’re not sure we could do it either!
Jennifer Falls premieres on TV Land Wednesday, June 4 at 10:30pm.
