Cody Walker was seen filming on the set of ‘Fast & Furious 7’ on June 2 in LA alongside Vin Diesel and Jordana Brewster. What do you think of Cody’s resemblance to Brian O’Conner?
Paul Walker tragically passed away at just 40 years old on Nov. 30, 2013, after being involved in a fiery car crash which killed him on impact. At the time, Fast & Furious 7 had been in the middle of production, and so Universal Pictures put filming on hiatus until April 2014. On April 15, it was announced that Paul’s brothers, Caleb and Cody Walker would act as stand-ins for Paul’s character, Brian O’Conner, in order for Paul’s memory to live on. In this photo, you can see Cody in the middle of filming and the resemblance is truly striking. Cody Walker, Paul Walker’s Brother, Filming On The Set Of ‘Fast & Furious 7’
Instead of killing off Paul’s character, it was decided that Brian would simply retire in order for the franchise — which was such a huge part of Paul’s career — would live on. It was never in the original plan for Brian to retire.
The plot will follow our core gang attempting to live a normal life after defeating Owen Shaw (Luke Evan) and his group of mercenaries. Of course, they are pulled back into action as Ian Shaw (Jason Statham) seeks revenge against Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) for Owen’s death.
‘Fast & Furious 7’ To Be Released April 15
It’s unclear how large Cody and Caleb’s roles will be as Paul’s stand-in, and how much filming Paul was able to complete prior to his death which will make the final cut.
However, we’re sure that fans of Fast & Furious 7 and of Paul will be happy with the end result, as the cast and crew are doing everything they can to properly honor Paul’s memory.
What do you think of Cody as Brian, HollywoodLifers? Isn’t the resemblance uncanny? Will you be seeing Fast & Furious 7 when it hits theaters in April 2015? Let us know.
