Marriage is already changing Kim and Kanye! The newlyweds not only chose quaint Ireland for their honeymoon, but they reportedly also ditched extravagance for some intimate outdoor activities and opted for a local pub instead of a five-star restaurant. Get all the details on their Irish getaway here.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West surprised everyone by heading to the less than glitzy Ireland for their honeymoon after their opulent Paris/Florence wedding, and it appears their entire trip has been an exercise in ditching their usual lifestyle comforts by exploring the quaint country, and knocking back a couple Guinesses just like the locals.
Kim Kardashian & Kanye West Picnic In The Irish Countryside
After leaving Castle Oliver in County Limerick on May 27, Kim and Kanye reportedly headed to Ballyhoura with four staff members to go mountain biking, according to Mail Online. They rented bikes for 35 euro and a personal guide for 75 euro at Ballyhoura Failte before riding through the famous Blackrock Loop and Ballyhoura Way. The loop is a 6.8-mile trek that also includes a gorgeous, idyllic 300-meter incline for hiking. The trip takes about five hours for most to complete.
In the middle of Kim and Kanye’s trek though, the newlyweds reportedly stopped for a nature-themed picnic. They lunched on tarts, sandwiches, and other treats prepared by the bakery, The Old Bakehouse. And since they were riding bikes, Kim and Kanye kept things sober by sipping on apple juice from Ballyhoura.
“They only booked the day before,” Fergal Sommers, manager of the outdoor activity company said. “One of the party had visited the region before, so they knew about us that way. The guide said they had an absolute blast.”
And they really got their Irish money’s worth, as the adventure guide reportedly brought Kim and Kanye to a local pub to sample Ireland’s greatest export, Guinness beer. Afterwards, the newlyweds reportedly left their guide a generous four-figure tip.
Kim Kardashian & Kanye West’s Honeymoon: Where To Next?
Kim and Kanye are now thought to be headed to another beautiful part of Ireland — County Kerry on the west coast. The Ring of Kerry is a famous tourist route that includes some of the best views Ireland has to offer — it’s also where Kris and Bruce Jenner went on their Irish honeymoon in 1991.
One of the couple’s jetliners was spotted in Kerry on May 26, fueling speculation that they’d make a stop there. It’s also reported that the couple will top off their honeymoon vacation by flying out of Dublin to a friend’s wedding on Saturday, May 31.
Even though this trip is the opposite of what we expected from a couple who had their pre-wedding party at Versailles, it sounds like Kim and Kanye are really getting everything they can out of it, and this is going to be a trip they’ll remember forever.
