‘The Voice’ finale was all about the competition, but Ed Sheeran stopped by to ease the tense night and sing ‘All Of The Stars’ with finalist Christina Grimmie. He also sang a solo song, ‘Sing’ and we loved it!
Ed Sheeran is one of the biggest stars in the music industry right now so he had to stop by the biggest reality singing show for the finals! Ed announced last week during the semifinals that he’d be performing on The Voice, but it was a surprise that he sang with Christina Grimmie!
Ed Sheeran Sings ‘All Of The Stars’ With Christina Grimmie
Christina Grimmie must have been nervous at the top of the show, but she sure didn’t show it when she performed with Ed Sheeran!
Ed, who was previously an advisor on The Voice, stopped by to sing a lovely song with Christina and they two complimented each other perfectly with Ed’s hit “All Of The Stars.”
Ed had his guitar and he and Christina both sang softly and beautifully. The set was simple, lit with star-like lights and the focus was on the two who stood center stage at their mics in the spotlight. The audience waved their hands in the air to the slow ballad.
We know that Christina wants to win, but even if she doesn’t, she’ll have a great memory of singing with Ed! And he’s yet another celebrity to add to her arsenal of famous friends and supporters. Throughout the season, Christina has garnered the attention of Justin Bieber and Lil Wayne.
Ed Sheeran Performs ‘Sing’ On ‘The Voice’
Ed didn’t just sing with Christina — he also performed solo with his brand new song “Sing” from his upcoming album!
“Sing” might just be our favorite new song of the summer. It’s so upbeat, and was quite to contrast from “All Of The Stars,” but we loved both!
Ed was rockin’ out with his guitar and stood in the midst of a stage decorated with TV’s with flashing, neon screens. He had a few rap verses in there and had the moves to match the groovy song. So much fun!
HollywoodLifers, let us know what you thought about Ed’s performances. Did you prefer his solo song or the ballad with Christina? Watch their performance above!
