Shay Mitchell’s Fun Ice Cream Inspired Summer Mani — Get The Exact Look
We could not be more excited to try out this manicure.
Here are the items you will need, according to Shay’a blog:
-Nude Nail Polish (LVX “d’Orsay”)
-Light Brown Nail Polish (Zoya “Flynn”)
-Multi Color Glitter Nail Polish (NCLA “Cookies N’ Gold”)
-White Nail Polish (Deborah Lippmann “Amazing Grace”)
-Red Nail Polish (Jenna Hipp “Room Service”)
-Acrylic Paint or Nail Polish in Rainbow Colors
-Seche Vite Top Coat
-Thin Striping Brush
-Dotting Tool Medium Size
-Dotting Tool in Extra Small size (Or can use the end of a paper clip)
Step 1: Paint four nails on each hand with two coats of a light nude nail polish and then paint your accent nails with two coats of your glitter nail polish.
Step 2: Next take your striping brush and paint on criss crossing lines over your nude nails with the light brown polish. This will resemble your nail polish cones!
Step 3: Next you are going to paint on your ice cream drips. Take your medium dotting tool and dip it in your white nail polish. Then place white dots at different lengths down the nail bed. Then take your white nail polish brush and fill in the tip of the nail connecting your drips in a curved swipe of the brush. You can use your dotting tool to create extra drips towards the base of the nail!
Step 4: Clean off your medium sized dotting tool and then dip it into red nail polish. Place one red dot at the center tip of your nail as the red cherry on top of your ice cream. Then take all your rainbow colors of either polish or acrylic paint and create “sprinkles” on the white drips with your extra small dotting tool (or paper clip). I used the guideline of two sprinkles per color, evenly spaced away from each other, in order to make sure the colors look balanced!
Step 5: Lastly use Seche Vite to paint a top coat on all your nails. A top coat always locks in your colors and make your mani really last. It will also smooth out your drippy ice cream cones and make them extra shiny!
We loved that super fun nail tutorial! What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Will you try to recreate these nails at home using the steps above? Let us know!
