Sansa is going to win the Game if a thrones. She’s just a beginning player, but she’s learning quickly.

Uh, no. Sansa couldn’t get out of any situation without a man helping her. Not King’s Landing, not Joffrey, and certainly not Lysa and the Moon Door. Lets contrast that with Dany, who repeatedly since Viserys died, has shown herself to be stronger and smarter then the men around her. She takes Ser Jorah’s advice, buys Unsullied, and promptly frees them and uses them to free the rest of slavers bay, making herself loved instead of feared as would have happened otherwise. If anything, Sansa is the foil to Dany, showing the difference between a weak woman and a strong one. Much like Ned and Jaime in the first season over their honor, or lack of it.

Sansa Stark cannot be compared to Danereys. For one thing, according to canon Sansa was a child of about 12 when she first went to kings landing. She was brought up in safety and comfort, firmly believing in the idealized vision of the world that she saw at winterfell. Danereys has been an exile her entire life. Her life has been one of instability and fear of her older brother. She is weak and timid at first and doesn’t take control of her life until she is taught how to seduce her husband. Her situation, surrounded by “barbaric” Dothraki, and Sansa’s with the social protocols and expectations of King’s Landing are rather different. From the time that Danereys seduces Drogo, she is surrounded by supporters and advisors. Sansa has no support after her father is arrested. She is surrounded by enemies, unprepared, and yet she survives. She learns how to play her version of the game. Conceal all true feelings and pretend loyalty, weakness, timidity and foolishness. What should she have done? What could she have done? Tried to seduce Joffrey? He was an insane boy with a stronger lust for blood than sex. Escape unaided? How exactly could she have done that? Kill Joffrey? How could she do that and avoid being a suspect? The two girls have been in two entirely different situations. Drogo cannot be compared to Joffrey, the Dothraki sea cannot be compared to King’s Landing, and Sansa cannot be compared to Danereys. Also, I am not sure what age Danereys is supposed to be at the beginning of the series but it would be hard for me to believe that she is under 20 now. The actress is 27 after all.

She has the potential to be a good strong character, and you see that she is learning from
all of the impossible seeming situations, This is what will make Sansa a strong female lead. and yes shes stuck with peter, but she can find ways to learn from him.

Sansa is the strongest of them all. She was in the rotting, writhing, murderous center of a nest of vipers–and survived, when everyone else was dropping dead. She’s withstood every horrible thing that happened to her, without breaking.

And she’s only 13.

She’s definitely stronger than anyone else on this show.
