Oh no! Mark Ballas seriously injured himself just one day before part 1 of the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ season 18 finale. Will he recover in time?
Mark Ballas, 27, went tumbling down during his the big rehearsal of his freestyle routine, sending him straight to the emergency room. Will a serious shoulder injury keep him from competing and claiming the Dancing with the Stars championship?
Mark Ballas’ Difficult Dance Routine Leaves Him Seriously Injured
Pro dancer Mark fell straight to the floor Sunday, May 18, while rehearsing for the big DWTS season finale, which will air Monday, May 19 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
Mark was rehearsing a freestyle routine with his Full House celebrity partner, Candace Cameron Bure, when agonizing shoulder pain caused him to drop to the floor.
The sharp pains kicked in while he was attempting to lift Candace over his head.
Unfortunately, the couple can’t afford a set back this big, as they are ranked the lowest among their competitors.
If Mark and Candace arrive to the finale ready to perform, they will face three other couples–Amy Purdy and Derek Hough, James Maslow and Peta Murgatroyd, and last but not least Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
We really want to see Mark and Candace dance in the finale. Our fingers are crossed that he recovers in time!
Mark Has a History of Shoulder Injuries
On Sunday, Mark was taken to a local hospital straight from the DWTS studio in Los Angeles, California, where he was reportedly treated and released with a dislocated shoulder.
However, this new shoulder injury is concerning for Mark because he has mentioned in the past that he has had surgery on his other shoulder. So, Mark knows the pain that comes along with this type of injury.
Despite the new injury, Mark returned to the studio with his arm in a sling hours later, but no one knows if he will dance on the May 19 finale.
Hey HollywoodLifers, what do YOU think? Will Mark make the big finale or will he and Candace have to forfeit the championship?
