How come nobody else is mad a the fact that Maks used a Sam Smith song and a different version!! You don’t do that to a Sam Smith song! Only Sam Smith can sing LATCH!!

I have learned that one never knows a celebrity through the media. You can only enjoy the person’s talent but not really “know” them personally. I was so thrilled with Maks comment to Abby Lee Miller, guest judge from Dance Moms who, as a certified parent coach, I think she is abusing the children on her show. This is being allowed by their mothers which is even more heinous.. Maks said that he didn’t care for anything that she (Abby Lee) said…which tickled me and summed up my feeling for the dance bully. In another instance, Meryl asked Maks to hold her hand in order to re-establish a connection. He asked her how many others had she posed this question…she said he was the first. His smile was so sweet and indicative of his obvious care for her. I agree that fans pushed Candace through which she certainly didn’t deserve from a dance standpoint. I can’t imagine her having so many fans “still”. I’m not a fan. I find her syrupy sweet and a bit obsequious. I think that Amy Purdy CAN dance and a “pity pot” wasn’t part of her being a finalist. She IS an inspiration and I don’t view her as having a disability per se. She is strong and so determined. Wahoo! Thrilled to see Maks and Meryl win. I never watch Good Morning America
and only watched it because of DWTS dancers being highlighted. Blessings for all.

I know what you are saying. I flipped channels since it was the 3 longest hours I’ve spent in a long time. Then the finale was so short…I watched Good Morning America and had to wade through an hour and a half before the DWTS cast was interviewed. B O R I N G!

I am glad that I am not the only one who felt that way. When they finally got around to what we all wanted to see it was more about Amy and Candace, that is not the reason I was watching. DISAPPOINTED

I literally started slamming doors and breaking things when they said James was eliminated. The only reason Candace is still there is because she has a HUGE fan base. She’ definitely not there because of her talent, which she obviously has NONE!!!

Meryl needs to GO! She has been training as a dancer her whole life, she is a professional. That is totally unfair to the people who came on the show as its suppose to be, with NO dance experience. Having people like Meryl on the show just ruin it for me. Keep the playing field level. Plus she is very homely.

Who knows, you may be very beautiful or handsome behind your moniker of Guest, but your soul seems ugly. Your commenting that Meryl is homely is like saying, how gross to see Amy taking off her prosthetics.

I wonder how many producers are going to lose their job after this fiasco; no good band, Erin Andrews and her voice; guest judges who have no dancing experience; it took a genius to put this freak show together

#TeamMeryl for sure. But cutting out James & Peta was absurd. Love you Mark but Candace cant hold a candle to James. Its really annoying the people you want to see in the final and DESERVE to be there are not!!

Enough with Amy. She is not nor ever will be a dancer. The only reason she is still on the show is pity points from judges. Can’t stand her crying, tired of her story, just go away

WOW! i can’t believe how many Amy HATERS there are out there! Growing up in the world of dance and now my kids are heavily involved with dance and have been for 14 years the things that Amy has been able to do have been out right incredible. She has defied all the odds and proven her self a winner. I do agree that James should’ve stayed but do not agree with people saying they don’t think Amy deserves to win. What makes her non deserving! WOW!

Personally, I’m tired of watching her do very little except for holding pose while Derek spins her around. I acknowldege that it is difficult to hold some of the poses and make it look effortless, but it seems to be more of an athletic feat than ballroom dancing.

I agreed with Carrie Ann’s first statement following their freestyle that Derek was doing too many lifts, because we have seen that Amy can dance, and it was very disappointing to watch her do no dancing of substance in their freestyle.

Derek has proven himself to be a great choreographer, but he has really dropped the ball with making dances for Amy.

Meryl and Maks received more perfect scores than everybody, let’s finally give Maks his first trophy. Meryl and Maks better win.

I am so upset to see James and Peta leave. It should have been Candace..she cannot dance. Theres got to be a better way of voting. A lot of the higher judging score dancers are leaving because of phone voting. Will only watch on Tuesday because I would love to see Max win for the first time, even tho Derek is my fav.

You have to admit on this, at least Candace is a better dancer than the blue collar comedian Bill from last season

No offense, but I would put her on par with Bill Engvall. I think that Bill’s limitations were more evident because he was expected to lead his partner.

Look at Candace’s performance in her freestyle when she was dancing by herself and compare it to how Bill looked doing the Zombie group dance. They both looked somewhat awkward and unsophisticated in their movements.

Candace may be the least improved dancer from any season to make it to the finals.

I take some of my comments back… Candace danced much better on the finale than she did in the finals. Definately better than Bill Engvall.

So disappointed that. James and PEtawere eliminated. They should be in the final two along with Max and Meryl. What in the world is wrong with anyone who votes for Candace? she can’t dance and should have been gone weeks ago.

I am so pissed that James & Peta were eliminated instead of Candace or Amy!!
Candace cannot dance, no reflection on Mark. Amy very rarely dances at all!! Most of the time it is Derek doing the dancing, lifts and swinging Amy all around, that’s why he was so out of breath when he was talking to Erin after their “dance”!! A lot of their dances involved a table or stool or Amy sitting on Derek’s knee. If Maks & Meryl don’t win this, I am so done with watching this show!!!

Candace should have gone home — AGAIN —
Proving that this show is fixed; very sad. How she has gotten this far with so little dancing, let alone good dancing, is thanks to ABC.
If Meryl and Max do not win, I will never watch the show again.

Get real gals and guys! This is a show about the “stars'” improvement for better or for worse … Yes, Meryl is terrific; but she is an ice dancer and in my birth country (Europe) they typically train on wood floors so it is hardly surprising she is THAT GREAT! Add to that Maks’s ego and they ought to be first runner up in my view! It is not about the pro and his or hers tainted image … no question, eh, who should win this season?! I know, there has been a lot of controversy with Derek winning “over and over again”; but let’s face it: He is a GREAT choreographer and brings out the best in his partners every time! And believe me being a competitive ballroom dancer myself, what Amy pulls of with his guidance is nothing short of UNBELIEVABLE!!! Short – She deserves to win!

Team Meryl

Posted at 11:44 PM on May 19, 2014

No she doesn’t, because she hardly ever dances. She’s either sitting on chair, a table, or Derek is throwing her around. None of the others would get away with that. Her upper body is always very stiff, too. Yes, we know she’s disabled, she won’t let us forget about it for a minute. There are others who dance while injured and in pain, and they don’t whine as much as Amy does. The judges DO favor her every week. Meryl did not train in Europe, they trained on ice in Canada. Everybody is ragging on her….news flash: every season, they have contestants who have had extensive dance training, more than Meryl ever had.

I agree! I thought the show was about becoming a dancer and about your partner bringing out the best. Derek has done that. Last night Meryl and Maks were beautiful but all he did was throw her around like she is used to. Ice dancers are required to take ballet and anyone who takes ballet can master any dance technique. So of course she is good. Amy has proven she can dance! Team Derek and Amy! I hope they win. My all time fave will still be Emmitt Smith and Cheryl!

… So sick of these Female skaters dancing and they win every time. They have more experience over all wether or not people want to admit it than any of the other competitors…. Charlie seemed to only go along for the ride, SMH. Amy, Candace and James. You are the BEST !

No Candace and Amy are NOT the best. Candace is horrible, and Amy doesn’t even dance, because she’s either sitting or being flung around by Derek. She gets special treatment from the judges. News flash: Every season has people who have had dance training, not just the ice skaters.

I swear Carrie Ann gets more obnoxious by the week. James was amazing in both dances, he should not have been eliminated. Candace was far inferior. Amy didn’t dance much as usual, but gets babied by the judges. We know she has a disability, she reminds us every minute, but alot of the others have danced while they were injured and in extreme pain, also. I hope Meryl wins. Neither of the other two deserve it.

I agree. Carrie Ann is extremely annoying. Candace isn’t a good dancer and Amy is coddled because of her disability. Her swinging on a rope last night wasn’t dancing. Meryl and Max are the clear winners to me.
