The premiere of ‘The Bachelorette’ was not only filled with a stunning Andi Dorfman, a ton of nerves, and 25 sexy men, but it also included a super sketchy stalker — who is a ‘Bachelor’ alum!
Andi Dorfman is without a doubt, the full package. The stunning 26-year-old attorney finally began her (second) journey to love on the May 19th premiere of The Bachelorette, and couldn’t have been more excited — she was literally cheek-to-cheek smiles the entire time!
Andi Meets Her Suitors
As does every season, The Bachelorette began with Andi waiting outside the mansion to welcome 25 lucky men to try and win her heart. Of course, there were those few who chose to go with non-traditional entrances to make that lasting first impression.
There are few that deserve a notable mention — first the sweet ones. Tasos, a 30-year-old wedding planning, romantically rips off the “Love Lock” bride in Paris by bringing a lock for them to put on the bridge outside the mansion. Eric Hill, the contestant who sadly passed away after leaving the season, gave Andi two dolls that he was given on a trip to the Andes Mountains.
Then comes the trying-to-be-funny-but-not-so-much ones.
Cody, 28, is a hunky personal trainer who pretends to be pushing the limo up the driveway to show his muscles — and is super exhausted. The best part is that Andy calls him out on how tired he is for being a personal trainer. That still doesn’t beat 29-year-old Craig, an accountant, who got out of the limo and popped a champagne bottle before spraying it all over . . . no better way to show you’re ready for love than showing you can party. We also meet Jason, a doctor, who says he can diagnose before examining, then tells Andi “I think you have a fever. Cuz you’re lookin’ pretty hot.” Yes, he actually said that aloud.
Ok, best line of the intros had to be helicopter pilot, Emil. Don’t know how to pronounce his name? Well, Andi didn’t either so he explained it as, “AYE-mel. Like, ‘anal’ with an ‘m.'” When he walked in, Andi said to herself laughing, “he just said ‘anal!’ like a 12-year-old, and we loved it.
A Stalker Arrives From The Past
Andi’s suitors weren’t actually drama filled, at all — two even created a total bromance after an hour. Actually, the big drama of the episode was someone not on the episode, but instead a contestant on Emily Maynard‘s season and Bachelor Pad, Chris Bukowski. He showed up with a dozen roses claiming he had been waiting for seven days outside (in a suit) because he wanted a chance with Andi.
Shockingly, Chris Harrison went to Andi to ask if she wanted to give him a chance.
While Andi was torn at the thought of turning away someone she could possibly fall for, she decided it wouldn’t be fair to the other men — and left out the fact that that’s super freaking creepy that a guy would stalk her that way.
Andi Sizes Up The Guys
After meeting the guys, Andi was wow’d by so many of them — she even mentioned that Josh M was definitely her type (“nailed it”), but that she wasn’t sure if he was 100% genuine, so she’d have to keep an eye on him — which how could she not? She also added that her type hasn’t exactly worked so much in her life. Obviously, ie. The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.
She repeated over and over again that Marcus is hot (literally over and over again), but at the end of night one decided to give the first impression rose to Nick V., which was kind of surprising — they had a very standard meeting moment, but she was wow‘d by his suit and polka dot tie.
“If you’d have asked me at the beginning of the night who my first impression rose would’ve been, it would’ve been to someone I was straight up attracted to. But I had a great first impression of someone I would not typically go for,” she said to the camera — which kinda was saying he wasn’t exactly attractive. Whatever, a rose is a rose!
When heading into the rose ceremony, I actually felt bad for Andi — she seemed to genuinely like a lot of these guys! I know going forward it’s going to be an emotional one when it comes to sending them home. But, as the game goes she still had to give out roses. So, six men were sent home: Josh B., Dr. Jason, Rudie, Mike, Steven, and Emil. It was super sad, but Josh especially was a totally bitter — it’s probably good she sent him home when she did!
What do you think of the guys so far, HollywoodLifers? Does anyone stand out to you, yet? Do you think Andi’s a good bachelorette? Let me know!
