At the 2014 Billboard Music Awards on May 18, it was bound to happen that someone would make a joke about Solange’s attack on Jay Z, and ‘Shark Tank’ stars Mark Cuban and Kevin O’Leary each took a crack at it!
In what was simply an eventuality, somebody at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards on May 18 cracked a joke at Solange‘s expense for her attack on Jay Z at the Met Ball on May 5, the video of which was released on May 12. Shark Tank stars Mark Cuban and Kevin O’Leary double-teamed Solange in a particularly brutal diss — and kinda funny — diss. Read on to find out what they said!
Solange’s Elevator Attack On Jay Z Dissed By Mark Cuban & Kevin O’Leary At The BBMAs
Keeping it in the family, ABC had a host of their stars presenting at the 2014 BBMAs, including Bachelorette Andi Dorfman, DWTS star Danica McKellar, and Shark Tank stars — and real big-time entrepreneurs — Mark and Kevin.
“We are here to announce our latest investment,” Mark said. “We just spent 3.2 billion dollars to buy a hot new company called ‘Beatdowns by Solange,'” referencing Beats by Dr. Dre (which, incidentally, was just sold for for $3.2 billion).
Kevin, aka Mr. Wonderful, brought it home by finishing with, “That was a great, great elevator pitch.” GET IT?!
I think we can all admit that that’s a pretty solid diss.
Solange Dissed By ‘Shark Tank’ Stars After Knowles-Carter Family Released A Statement
As the week progressed, the Knowles-Carter clan tried to make it as clear as possible that everything was a-OK, and on May 15 they released a statement that read that their “family has worked through it” and “They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family.”
However, that video was pretty huge news — it’s understandable that, not even a week after the news broke, people are still trying to get their best jokes in before the whole drama subsides entirely.
