Christina Grimmie is putting her voice to a good cause! ‘The Voice’ finalist is posing with her pup in a brand new ad for PETA, as their latest celebrity supporter.
We love seeing celebrities doing good, and that’s exactly what Christina Grimmie is doing — and it’s adorable! The singer and YouTube sensation joins PETA’s youth division, peta2, in support of animal adoption. Keep reading for details on Christina’s cause, plus the latest on The Voice!
Christina Grimmie For PETA
We love watching Christina Grimmie perform each week on The Voice stage, but we’re in puppy love with her new PETA campaign, EXCLUSIVELY debuted by HollywoodLife.com!
Christina and her adopted dog, Chloe, are the new faces of peta2, PETA’s youth division which supports animal adoption.
“I love my dog so much, and she’s like my best friend,” says Christina Grimmie. “I feel like when you adopt an animal, it’s kind of like you’re saving them… I would so much rather rescue a dog than just buy one.”
Every year in the United States, six to eight million cats and dogs are put in shelters, after being lost or abandoned.
“It’s very important to love your animal, feed your animal, but if you don’t have that time and responsibility to do so, then I wouldn’t get one,” adds Christina. “You just gotta know what you’re about to handle.”
Wise words from such a young lady! The 20-year-old singer joins the ranks of Justin Bieber, Madison Beer, Cody Simpson, P!nk and Lea Michele who have also teamed up with peta2 to help animals in need.
Will Christina Grimmie Win ‘The Voice’?
Besides working with PETA, Christina, of course, is singing her heart out on The Voice!
Christina is in the top three singers, as the only girl left! She’s going to be competing against Josh Kaufman and Jake Worthington, but does she think that she’ll win?
“It will feel like it wasn’t even real,” Christina tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “After all that we have been through this show…to win and look back at it, all that paid off. And then to stand on stage and sing the winning song, I can’t even imagine!”
Whether or not Christina wins, we know that her doggy Chloe will be proud of her!
