The longest-running comedy on TV is coming to an end after 12 seasons! On May 14, CBS president Nina Tassler announced that ‘Two and a Half Men’ will be ending after next season.
All good things must come to an end — and that includes all good TV shows. Two and a Half Men has been providing laughs since its premiere in 2003, and while the cast has changed tremendously over the years, the show has still been extremely successful. Season 11 averaged nine million viewers! However, at a breakfast before the CBS Upfront presentation on May 14, the president of CBS announced that next season will be the last.
‘Two And A Half Men’ Ending After Season 12
The finale won’t be just one episode — it will be a “season-long finale event,” Nina Tassler, the president of CBS said. Additionally, the show’s creator Chuck Lorre is also extremely excited about the last season.
“He’s very psyched about this,” Nina said. “He’s got some great ideas in store and some very big surprises.”
So we can’t be the only one hoping that one of those surprises will be a return of Charlie Sheen, who was the star for eight years — plus, we’re sure Jon Cryer and Ashton Kutcher would love to see him!
“I would like to see whatever Chuck would like to,” Nina said about Charlie’s possible appearance. “Chuck knows his show better than me…he has a lot of surprises in store, I don’t know if that’s one of them.”
However, it’s unsure whether or not that will actually be possible — his character Charlie was killed off of the series when he left.
But who knows, we’d love to see some crazy surprise come-back. Don’t you agree, HollywoodLifers? Do you think Charlie Sheen should return for the finale season?
