Kim might think she’s American royalty, but she may not be worth Obama’s time. The Kardashian powerhouse was reportedly denied a meet-and-greet by the President yet again during a charity gala on May 7. So a double date with Michelle and Kanye is out of the question, then?
This isn’t the first and it doesn’t seem like it will be the last time Kim Kardashian tries to get close to President Obama and fails. The reality star reportedly tried to initiate another one-on-one introduction with the POTUS at the USC Shoah Foundation 20th Anniversary Ambassadors For Humanity Gala in LA on May 7 but was flat-out denied. Seriously, if there was a makeshift door at this event, it was reportedly slammed in the Kim’s face.
Kim Kardashian: Shut Down By President Obama?
Kim came out to show her support for survivors of the Armenian genocide at the charity event, and it just so happened that the President was there to accept the award for “Ambassador for Humanity.”
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star saw this as her opportunity to grab the attention of the Head of State, but failed miserably, according to TMZ.
“Kim’s table wasn’t close to President Obama. She enlisted one of her minions to scout out the opportunity to meet him,” a source said. “Obama’s table and surrounding area was swarming with Secret Service, and security was very tight. Kim’s lackey was told to go pound sand, and it was conveyed to Kim that she wouldn’t be able to meet him.”
Ouch. That is a hard blow to Kim’s ego, but she shouldn’t take it too personally — he is the President after all.
“Kim was let down and disappointed,” the source also revealed. “She didn’t understand why she just couldn’t say hello to him. Ever since landing the Vogue cover, her ego is even more out of control. In her mind, she and Kanye are more popular than the President Obama and the First Lady!”
How Does Obama Really Feel About Kim Kardashian & Kanye West?
Obama has hinted numerous times he’s not fond of the reality star or her fiancé Kanye West. The POTUS spoke to Amazon in 2013, stating, ”We weren’t exposed to things we didn’t have in the same way kids these days are … Kids weren’t monitoring every day what Kim Kardashian was wearing, or where Kanye West was going on vacation, and thinking that somehow that was the mark of success.”
The Pres has also gone on record calling Yeezy a “jackass” more than once.
Who can blame the guy for not keeping up with this Kardashian, though? He shouldn’t be getting wrapped up in celebrities when he has the entire country to run.
But what do you think, HollywoodLifers? Was it rude of the President to diss Kim like that?
