Kanye West & Kim Kardashian’s Prenup — It Needs To Be Signed Before Marriage – Hollywood Life

Kim Kardashian & Kanye West: Why They Haven’t Gotten Married Yet

Though a report on May 4 claimed that Kim and Kanye had officially tied the knot, the bride-to-be shot down that notion three days later. Now a new report claims that there is a very unromantic reason for why the two stars haven't been able to exchange vows just yet. As Kim Kardashian tweeted on May 7, she and Kanye West aren't married yet, but the holdup isn't because they're not ready to tie the knot. With the French wedding ceremony date, May 24, rapidly approaching, a new report claims that Kim and Kanye simply still have some official business to work out.

Kim Kardashian & Kanye West Still Working On Prenup

Kanye said it himself on “Gold Digger” in 2005 — “If you ain’t no punk, holla ‘We want prenup!'” — so obviously it’s something he takes seriously. And putting that premarital agreement together to keep one another’s assets separate is the thing that’s holding back the rapper and Kim’s union, TMZ reports.

The terms of the prenup are reportedly still being hashed out, and it won’t be signed until next week at the earliest. The two can’t get married until everything is sorted out.

Though a couple working out money issues never sounds like a good thing, the prenup isn’t taking longer to get worked out because it’s been a contentious process, an insider tells TMZ. Instead, things had to be reworked on the fly because Kanye recently changed management. So unlike Kim’s prenup with Kris Humphries, this one has reportedly been drama-free — it’s just a pre-marriage formality.

Kim Kardashian Clears Up Wedding Details

With Kim’s wedding date coming up, there has been a ton of speculation surrounding the details of the ceremony. The bride-to-be apparently got fed up with all the rumors on May 7, because she rifled off a bunch of tweets to clear things up:

Whew, glad that’s all sorted out!

So what do you think, HollywoodLifers? Will Kim and Kanye have a civil ceremony right after they sign their prenup next week? Do you think it’s a bad sign that the couple is still working out the details of their prenup? Let us know!
