HollywoodLife.com’s Full Q&A With Dominic Adams
>> Were you familiar with ‘Devious Maids’ before you joined the cast?
I wasn’t too familiar with the show, but I had a friend who worked on it. When I arrived to my first audition I was completely lost. Here I was at this major studio in Los Angeles and I was lost. This person helped me find my way to the audition, we were talking and laughing on the elevator and then he said to me, “Well, I guess I will be seeing you soon.” That person ended up being Marc Cherry, the show’s creator.
>> Tell me about your character.
I play Tony, a former special forces agent who has been hired as a bodyguard and chauffeur to protect one of the couples on the show. I am working for the husband and wife [Adrian and Evelyn, as played by Tom Irwin and Rebecca Wisocky]. Tony has a shadowy past. He could kill someone with his bare hands. Let’s just say he has his own devious plans.
>> Is your character a good guy or bad guy, and will he be interacting with any of the maids? Will there be any romances?
Let’s just say Tony is complex. He will be interacting with the maids, and yes, romantically, but that’s all I can reveal. My shirt DOES come off on the show! You will have to wait and see. All the maids are unique, lovely and alluring.
>> What’s your experience been like filming the show?
I am having a wonderful time. We actually film the show in Atlanta. They film a lot of projects there. Everyone on the show is fantastic. Eva Longoria is so much fun and funny.
>> If you could work opposite any actress, whom would it be?
Eva Longoria, Felicity Huffman and of course, Meryl Streep.
We can’t wait to see more of Dominic on Devious Maids this season — and find out more about his “shadowy past!” Tune in to watch on Sunday, May 11 at 10 p.m. EDT on Lifetime.
