Barney Stinson would approve! Neil Patrick Harris stripped down to nothing but a bow tie and a strategically placed top hat for the cover of the May 22 issue of ‘Rolling Stone.’ Talk about suiting up!
The already trim Neil Patrick Harris, 40, had to slim down even more for his role in the Broadway show Hedwig, and now the How I Met Your Mother star is showing off his super-fit figure on the cover of Rolling Stone. Of course, we’re sure famed photog Terry Richardson, who took the racy pics, had something to do with bringing out Neil’s sexy side!
Neil Patrick Harris’ ‘Rolling Stone’ Cover: Actor Poses Naked For Magazine
NPH is sexy and he knows it! The child star turned comic actor of the screen and stage wasn’t too shy to bare all on the cover of Rolling Stone — even though he prefers himself with a little more meat on his bones.
Neil, who underwent a major physical transformation for his latest role in Broadway’s Hedwig, confessed to the magazine, “I need to eat more. That’s becoming apparent. I’m so intent on looking feminine, on changing my silhouette. But I’m running out of energy, and it’s affecting my mood.”
While we think Neil looks fit and fabulous, his overall health and well-being obviously come first.
How Coming Out As Gay Changed Neil Patrick Harris’ Career
Neil, who just wrapped up a legendary nine-year run as lovable womanizer Barney Stinson on CBS’ How I Met Your Mother, says that despite what people may think, coming out as gay actually helped his career, rather than hurt it.
“Once all the cards were on the table, I got more opportunities than ever,” Neil tells Rolling Stone. “Some actors don’t get hired because you can’t look into their soul and see what they’re like, because they’re kept guarded.”
Well, Neil definitely doesn’t look guarded on this racy cover, which hits newsstands on May 9.
