The final season of ‘True Blood’ is creeping around the corner, and it doesn’t look like Sookie and friends are going to have a happy ending. Why? Well, besides the vampires gorging on humans, HBO has just cast a brand new villain for Season 7.
Actor Will Yun Lee is heading down to Bon Temps! The Wolverine villain has just been cast in the final season of True Blood, and he’s coming with a vengeance. Keep reading for the details on his the new character!
‘True Blood’ Casts Will Yun Lee As New Villain
There’s a new baddie in Bon Temps, and he’s no stranger to danger.
Actor Will Yun Lee starred alongside Hugh Jackman in the 2013 action-packed blockbuster, Wolverine, as the villain Harada, and now he’s bringing the evil out again to take on True Blood‘s newest character, Mr. Gus.
Mr. Gus is a Texan Japanese businessman, “whose bigger-than-life, urban cowboy demeanor nearly rivals the size of his large Stetsons,” according to Deadline. “Gus is out for revenge and will stop at nothing to get it.
Bon Temps Gets Extra Bloody In Final Season
It sounds like Mr. Gus will bring some bloody goodness to Season 7, but as we previously saw in the latest trailer, no one is safe in Bon Temps where the entire town has turned against each other.
Vampires are shown feasting on humans and a freezer full of dead and punctured human bodies take over the teaser. Violet (Karolina Wydra) shows off her fangs, while wielding wooden stakes, and then, Sookie (Anna Paquin) and the gang stand ominously in the barren town. “There’s no one left.”
True Blood‘s final season premieres on June 22 (9/8c) on HBO.
