The ‘RHOA’ cast is really no stranger to drama. Just days after the insane reunion specials wrapped, Phaedra Parks’ husband, Apollo Nida, plead guilty to bank fraud, laundering money and identity theft.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta is about to get even juicier — that is, if Apollo Nida doesn’t head to jail. Phaedra Parks‘ husband dodged questions of his trial on the Sunday, May 4 reunion special, but on Tuesday, May 6, he plead guilty to a major scheme of money fraud and identity theft. Keep reading for the details on Apollo’s guilty case!
‘RHOA’ Husband Apollo Nida Pleads Guilty
Porsha Williams may have been sent to jail after smacking Kenya Moore on The Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion, but we have a feeling her mugshot is going to be a lot more glamorous than Apollo Nida’s!
The husband of Phaedra Parks stopped by that very reunion special, alongside the other housewives’ hubbies, but he strategically dodged every question Andy Cohen asked him about his identity theft trial. “We’re just going to let it play out” is all Apollo had to say.
Days later, the proof is out: Apollo plead guilty.
Is Apollo Going To Jail?
Apollo plead guilty to identity theft on Tuesday, May 6, after allegedly stealing identities over over 50 people. He also reportedly laundered more than $2.3 million, according to TMZ.
The site also reports that the U.S. Attorneys’ office caught wind of Apollo, after he “cashed tons of stolen U.S. Treasury checks, and checks from the Delta Airlines pension fund…then laundered the money through bank accounts in the names of people whose IDs he also stole.”
Apollo will be sentenced at a later date for conspiracy to commit mail, bank fraud and wiring money, but it’s not looking too good for him. Reportedly, Apollo cheated even more money for himself by filing fake tax returns and being granted loans for cars that he did not actually own.
HollywoodLifers, do you think that Apollo deserves to go to jail? Does this news surprise you? Should Phaedra stick by her man’s side?
