Sci-Fi fans across the country are probably overjoyed about Matt Smith, their beloved Doctor Who star, becoming part of the upcoming Terminator trilogy. The film entitled Terminator: Genesis is scheduled to be released on July 1, 2015.
Matt Smith: ‘Doctor Who’ Star Joining ‘Terminator’ Reboot
Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions are behind the reboot that will feature Matt. However, the production team has not yet revealed what role Matt will be playing, reports Deadline. Fortunately, Matt’s role will be carried into the second and third terminator films of this trilogy. So don’t worry “Doctor” fans, he will not be killed off early.
Cast alongside Matt in the movie will be Zero Dark Thirty’s Jason Clarke (John Connor), Game Of Thrones‘ Emilia Clarke (Sara Connor), Jai Courtney (Kyle Reese), Dayo Okeniyi (Danny Dyson, son of the brainiac cyborg developer played by Joe Morton in Terminator: Judgment Day), and Arnold Schwarzenegger, who will return as the terrifying cyborg/hero.
Matt Leaving ‘Doctor Who’ & Joining ‘Terminator’ Reboot
