While on a romantic getaway in Las Vegas with his wife, Jennifer Garner, the ‘Batman’ actor got into some serious trouble for cheating during a game of blackjack!
Ben Affleck, 41, thought he could quietly sneak away from Hollywood for a quick trip before he starts filming his new Batman vs. Spiderman movie in Detroit, Michigan, but he was wrong! A new report claims that on April 29, the Oscar winner was accused of counting cards at The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and subsequently banned.
Why Ben Affleck Was Banned From The Casino?
Here’s how it went down. Ben was busy playing an intense round of blackjack when security guards suddenly approached the actor and accused him of card counting, according to Radar Online. So shocking, right?
Counting cards is NOT illegal in Vegas, but it is totally frowned upon. The offense usually results in the gambler being kicked out of a casino, but Ben was just asked to leave the blackjack table because he was “too good.”
When the security guards asked Ben to leave the blackjack table, he immediately did. While some celebs would’ve been divas about the incident, Ben took the whole situation in stride.
The casino allowed Ben to stay and play all the other games besides blackjack. And later in the night, The Hard Rock even hired a car service to take Ben and his wife, Jennifer, back to their hotel.
“Mr. Affleck, a valued guest of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, is not banned from our property and is welcome back any time,” a representative for the Hard Rock said in a statement Friday.
Ben Affleck Has A Hard Rock Past
This isn’t the first time the famous actor has made headlines for gambling at The Hard Rock. Back in 2001, Ben famously won $800,000 in a single blackjack game. Now it looks like he’ll never be back in the Vegas hotspot!
So what do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Did Ben deserve to get kicked out of the casino for counting cards? Or do you think The Hard Rock is going overboard?
