Chris does not look happy. On May 1, Chris appeared in L.A. Superior Court, where he was ordered to stay in jail until May 9. On that date, the judge would then decide if he should be released and able to await trail from his home.
Chris Brown, 24, will be spending his birthday in jail — and his reaction showed that he’s definitely not happy. The singer was ordered with nine more days behind bars on May 1, while his lawyer Mark Geragos negotiates his probation with the prosecutor. Chris, who turns 25 on May 5, definitely looked upset and much more bloated than we’re used to seeing!
Chris Brown Sad In Court
Judge James Brandlin ruled that Chris would stay in jail for another nine days at least — and if his attorney can’t come to a decision by then, he could face up to four years in jail. Chris’ probation was revoked after he was arrested on assault charges in Washington, D.C., but went to rehab instead of jail, at first. However, when he was kicked out of rehab, he was sent to jail.
Chris definitely looks different that we’re sued to seeing him, as he’s much more scruffy and not as muscular. While he usually has short, shaved hair, this time he had a small afro and a small goatee! However, he could just be tired — he did fly to L.A. from Washington, D.C. just hours before the hearing, and has already been in jail for six weeks.
Mark Geragos also told the judge that he will file a motion to have Chris released, so that will all be discussed over the next eight days.
Chris Brown’s Mother Happy He’s In Jail
After T.I. and The Game got in a standoff with LAPD outside the Supperclub on April 30, HollywoodLife.com spoke to an insider close with Chris and his mother, Joyce Hawkins who said she’s just happy her son wasn’t around.
“It’s a good thing he’s in jail seeing as how all of his friends were at the club [on April 30] and because he’s impressionable, he would have been there too, in trouble, and who knows what that could have amounted to,” the source told us exclusively.
Do you think Chris is depressed in jail, HollywoodLifers? Do you think he’ll be let out on May 9? Let us know!
