Tori Spelling was hospitalized recently, reportedly for a severe migraine, but was her six-day stay really just a cry for help? Tori was actually reaching out for support from her distant mother, Candy Spelling, by checking into the hospital, a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
Despite their very public marital problems, Tori Spelling‘s husband, Dean McDermott, rushed to her side when she was hospitalized for six days. But apparently Dean was not the person Tori was hoping would show up for her in her time of need. What she needs now more than ever is her mother’s love. “She needs help and Candy [Spelling] hasn’t really been there,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
Tori Spelling Hospital Visit: Star Cries Out For Mom’s Help During Stay
There’s nothing like a mother’s tender love and care when you’re not feeling well, so we’re not surprised that Tori’s recent hospital stay may have been in part a cry for help from Candy.
“The real reason for Tori’s hospital stay still remains a mystery. She checked in the same week her new show debuted, and while she was in the hospital, she was tweeting every day. She even tweeted about Easter candy and Mother’s Day cupcakes,” an insider tells Hollywoodlife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “When someone has a really bad migraine, it’s difficult to do anything, let alone tweet. I really think this is Tori’s way of trying to get her mom’s attention. She needs help and Candy hasn’t really been there.”
Tori is definitely going through a tough time right now, between dealing with Dean’s cheating scandal, the stress of her new reality show, True Tori, and her crippling financial issues.
“Tori’s hurting for money, and her mom doesn’t really help her out, even though she is loaded,” our source reveals. “Tori wants her mom to see her on TV selling things at a garage sale in an attempt to get her mom’s attention. Tori wants her mom to see her hospitalized to get her attention. And it’s really sad that Tori has to go to these extremes to get her mom’s attention. Candy is too preoccupied with her own life. She is about to go on an extensive book tour for her new book Candy At Last, so it’s obvious she won’t be helping Tori with the kids. She’s very self-involved.”
Tori Spelling: The Real Reason Why She Was Hospitalized
There are reports that claim Tori was hospitalized for migraines and stress but Dr. Marc Kayem, M.D., who has a practice in Beverly Hills, tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that it’s highly unlikely that Tori spent nearly a week in the hospital for just that.
“Being hospitalized for a migraine seems very unusual. Even with a severe migraine, most people will just stay at home, and lie down in a dark room,” Dr. Kayem says. “With a very severe migraine, people rarely can get a TIA (transient ischemic attack), which is like a mini-stroke. But even then, they would not need to be hospitalized, let alone for six days. So yes, it sounds suspicious that anyone would be hospitalized for a migraine.”
So what do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Should Tori’s mom be more supportive? Let us know!
