How awful. Music producer and singer, The-Dream, is wanted by the NYPD after he allegedly punched, kicked and strangled his ex-girlfriend, Lydia Nam, who was pregnant at the time, in April 2013. The singer has not been taken in by police yet though — is he on the run?
The-Dream‘s ex-girlfriend and mother of his child, Lydia Nam, has come forward claiming that the music producer brutally assaulted her back in April 2013, while she was still pregnant with their son! Once the NYPD finds the hip-hop singer and producer, he will be taken into custody and questioned about these horrific charges.
The-Dream: Wanted By NYPD
Lydia is claiming that she was brutally beaten in the Plaza Hotel in New York City in April 2013. Lydia was roughly 6 months pregnant with the couple’s son at the time of the attack.
Lydia did not come to the police until November 2013 when she first described the assault. However, it is unclear what prompted this assault and if she ever sought medical attention.
The-Dream, whose real name is Terius Nash and who used to be married to Christina Milian, is reportedly insisting that not only is he innocent, but that Lydia is lying about the entire thing. Lydia, who is Canadian, ”is a vengeful woman who’s plotting to use this alleged crime as a way to extend her visa in the U.S.,” a source told TMZ.
The-Dream’s Run-Ins With The Law
Additionally, law enforcement sources told TMZ that this is not the first time that The-Dream has been in trouble for domestic violence against Lydia. The-Dream was arrested in June 2013 in Newport Beach, Calif., however Lydia did not press charges so the case was dropped.
The-Dream is now wanted for questioning by the NYPD and when he is found he will be taken into custody. The 36-year-old has three children with his first wife Nivea, and a daughter with ex-wife Christina Milian.
These are serious allegations to make. We hope that The-Dream would never be violent towards anyone, but if Lydia’s claims are true, we hope that justice is served.
What do YOU think HollywoodLifers? Do you think The-Dream assaulted Lydia?
