Heartbreaking news. Peaches Geldof, who was found dead at 25 in her Kent, England home on April 7, reportedly died of a heroin overdose.
After Peaches Geldof‘s shocking death on April 7, many people speculated that the model and mother of two young sons had met the same tragic fate as her mother, Paula Yates, who died of a heroin overdose in 2000. Sadly, it seems that Peaches did die of a drug overdose, according to an April 30 report from the Times of London. The claim comes one day before Peaches’ official cause of death is reportedly set to be released at an inquest on May 1.
Peaches Geldof Cause Of Death — Model Reportedly Died Of Heroin Overdose
So sad. After Peaches, the daughter of British rock musician Bob Geldof, was found dead in her home with 11-month-old son Phaedra Bloom Forever by her side, authorities called her passing “non-suspicious” and “unexplained.” The mystery surrounding her death deepened when an autopsy was deemed inconclusive on April 9.
Now a new report from the Times of London claims that Peaches’ unreleased toxicology report shows that she did in fact die of a heroin overdose. We probably won’t have to wait long for confirmation. The paper also reports that a May 1 inquest into Peaches death will reveal the OD as her official cause of death.
Peaches Geldof’s Body Found Next To 11-Month-Old Son
Peaches’ loved ones have been rocked by her tragic death, after a friend of the family found her dead at her Kent home on April 7, with her son Phaedra by her side.
“The hope is that Phaedra was so young he wasn’t aware of what was going on,” a friend of Peaches’ told The Sun. “The most important thing is that he’s OK. It is devastating for Tom that he wasn’t there but it couldn’t have been avoided.”
Peaches is survived by her husband Tom, and their sons Phaedra and 23-month-old Astala Dylan Willow.
“My beloved wife Peaches was adored by myself and her two sons,” Tom said in a statement released shortly after her death. “I shall bring them up with their mother in their hearts everyday. We shall love her forever.”
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Peaches’ friends and family during this difficult time.
