The No Doubt singer has been named coach for Season 7 of ‘The Voice’ and will be judging alongside Pharrell Williams, plus Adam Levine and Blake Shelton who are confirmed to return! Christina Aguilera will also be back for Season 8.
It’s official! The Voice is welcoming two new famous faces, and sticking with two of its finest — Adam and Blake! The bromantic buds will be joined by Pharrell and their new leading lady, Gwen! But she’s not replacing Christina! The mommy-to-be is confirmed to return for Season 8, after her maternity leave.
Gwen Stefani Officially Joining ‘The Voice’
Congrats, Gwen Stefani! The Grammy-award winning singer is taking a seat on the judges’ panel for Season 7, as HollywoodLife.com previously reported, alongside new coach Pharrell and the fan-favorite returning duo Adam and Blake.
“Internationally acclaimed solo artist and No Doubt singer and songwriter Gwen Stefani has been named a coach for the upcoming seventh season of NBC’s Emmy Award-winning musical competition series The Voice,” NBC said in an official statement on April 29.

Pharrell and Gwen will stop by The Voice stage on Monday, May 5 to perform on the live show! “As a way to introduce the two new coaches to viewers, Pharrell — a Grammy Award winner and Oscar nominee — will perform his new single “Come Get It Bae” from his current album “Girl” and Stefani will perform her No.1 single “Hollaback Girl” from her debut solo album, “Love. Angel. Music. Baby” on the Monday, May 5 live telecast,” NBC announced.
HollywoodLife.com previously reported that Gwen would become the next female coach. “The rumors are true,” a source confirmed to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “Gwen will be taking the job.”
Adam and Blake Returning For Season 7 & Christina Aguilera Confirmed For Season 8
In addition to NBC’s announcement of Gwen joining the series, they also confirmed that everyone’s favorite guys will be back!
“Adam Levine, Blake Shelton also return alongside Pharrell Williams for star-studded coach’s lineup,” the network released, adding, “Christina Aguilera back for season eight.”
We’re so glad that Adam listened to us, and is coming back! At the April 21 live show, Adam told HollywoodLife.com that he had not yet signed on for another season. “I don’t know,” he said when we asked him if he would return. “I have to check my schedule.” Such a tease!
