Just because Donald Sterling completely crossed the line with his shocking comments made April 9, doesn’t mean his estranged wife feels the same way — she’s actually ‘devastated’ that he would say such racist remarks!
We were shocked when an audio recording surfaced of Clippers’ owner Donald Sterling, 80, making completely racist remarks to girlfriend Vanessa Stiviano, 31. And we weren’t the only ones. His estranged wife was completely caught off guard and finds his remarks “despicable!” Read her interview here.
Donald Sterling’s Wife ‘Devastated’ By Racist Remarks
“Our family is devastated by the racist comments made by my estranged husband,” Shelly Sterling told a reporter, according to TMZ. “My children and I do not share these despicable views or prejudices. We will not let one man’s small-mindedness poison the spirit of the fans and accomplishments of the team in the city we love. We are doing everything in our power to stand by and support our Clippers team.”
One of those things Shelly and her kids are doing to how their support is attending the games! Shelly was there on April 27 watching the Clippers play the Golden State Warriors in Oakland, Cali., and TMZ claimed that she’d be flying home on the team jet!
It was a good game for her to be at, too — the team showed that they wouldn’t be brought down by his racist comments either!
L.A. Clippers Diss Sterling
When the Clippers ran out onto the court on April 27, they wore they ripped off their warm ups and threw them on the floor and wore their t-shirts inside out, to disassociate themselves with Donald and his racist remarks.
“They had a meeting the day of the tape coming out and thought of a handful of things to do including not playing at all. This was something that they thought to do out of solidarity,” the Clippers insider revealed to HollywoodLife.com exclusively.
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Do you think it’s good that Shelly spoke up? Or should she have kept her feelings to herself? Let us know!
