Barack Obama Blasts Donald Sterling For ‘Ignorant’ Racist Rant

The backlash to Donald Sterling’s racist rant against Magic Johnson on April 19. Now, the President of the United States is getting involved.

During a press conference with the Malaysian Prime Minister on April 27, Barack Obama was asked about the racist rant heard around the world. The president took the opportunity to blast the L.A. Clippers owner for “advertising” his ignorance.

“When ignorant folks want to advertise their ignorance, you don’t really have to do anything.  You just let them talk.  That’s what happened here.” the POTUS carefully explained during his press conference.

Well said, Mr. President!

Obama Wants Adam Silver & The NBA To Respond Appropriately

Now that President Obama has responded, he also wants everyone to know that he has faith in NBA commissioner Adam Silver and other NBA officials.

During the press conference, Obama stated that he strongly believes that Adam and the NBA will work together to respond to Donald’s racist beliefs in the appropriate manner.

“I have confidence that the NBC commissioner Adam Silver, a good man, will address this,” the president told a room full of reporters. “Obviously, the NBA is a league that is beloved by fans all over the country. It’s got an awful lot of African-American players. It’s steeped in African-American culture, and I suspect the NBA is going to be deeply concerned in resolving this.”

Hopefully, the President is right. Even though the NBA has responded to Donald’s racist rant, it has yet to act just yet.

Even though I agree with the president, it is not his place to call out anyone that is not involved directly with the government. The president needs to mind his own damn business and leave sports alone. His business is government involvement only. The president has a bad habit of sticking his nose into other things that doesn’t involve him such as civil matters, parish matters and sports.

There sadness when a coach that is of any color makes statements like those Donald said he is rude to his wife and to the new basketball community. It deepens my heart to see such a thing. I like what president said regarding this subject. There are just somethings that should be said ybut at least everyone knows!

Does anybody believe Obama attacks Sterling when he knows nothing about the events? He did the same thing in the matter of Henry Gates and the Cambridge Police Department. When there is a conflict between a white person and a black person, Obama ALWAYS sides with the black person regardless of the facts. The facts don’t matter to him, Sterling has been convicted and we don’t know for sure if it is a legitimate recording.
