LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling is firing back at the media, claiming that he is definitely ‘not a racist’ after an audio tape of Donald making racist remarks was released to the public on April 26. However, HollywoodLife.com has the EXCLUSIVE details that further prove Donald is not all he claims to be.
Donald Sterling is probably regretting some of his comments right about now. The LA Clippers owner was allegedly caught on tape making racist remarks about African-Americans but he says those comments are all taken out of context. HollywoodLife.com managed to get the exclusive details that further prove Donald could be 2014’s Mel Gibson when it comes to racist rants.
Donald Sterling Defends Himself: ‘I am Not A Racist’
The term racist is thrown around a lot these days, probably because whomever the term is attached to at the time said or did something racist. And it seems as though Donald is no exception.
“Donald Sterling is your modern-day Marge Schott mixed with Mel Gibson. He is very confused with saying very insensitive things that are racist mixed with working with black people and hiring black people — which at the end of the day makes him truly believe he isn’t racist,” a source close to Donald revealed exclusively to HollywoodLife.com.
“He is well aware of the tapes and is under the impression that if you listen to the whole tapes — rather than excerpts — you’ll see that he said some stupid things but wasn’t being insensitive,” the source explained.
he source goes on to say that Donald simply grew up in a different time “where he shares racist beliefs that were taught to him but that in no way should give him a pass — he knows that he is going to be in trouble with the league and most likely fined and he is OK with that.”
Donald Defends Himself: Claims He Is ‘Not A Racist’
But what does the team think of these comments? More specifically, what does the almost all black LA Clipper team think about these comments?
“Everyone in the Clippers organization are walking on eggshells trying to figure out what to do. The players and coaches have all talked to each other and they are not going to make this a distraction for them on the court,” said the Donald insider. “They are battling for a championship but they are trying to figure out what to say as they have been thrust into a situation that they never wanted to be in.”
What do you think HollywoodLifers, do you think Donald is a racist, or do you think he was just misrepresented? Tell us what you think.
